<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> AUGUST 12, 2010 <br /> Fischer indicated that it will be a challenge to get all the updated plans and <br /> Engineer's review by the Council meeting. Dibb and Haugdahl indicated <br /> that they would get it done, and felt their proposal was awin/win situation. <br /> Duray asked the size of the parcel. Haugdahl replied that it was 1.25 <br /> acres. Again the need for drainage and ponding review was noted. <br /> Steve Haugdahl, Prewire, inU•oduced himself and supported the previous <br /> comments made by Jim Haugdahl and Russ Dibb. <br /> Duray felt that Prewire was a good business for this community. He <br /> indicated that there is some question about traffic in and out of the site as <br /> well as the need for drainage and ponding review. Duray stated that <br /> pending those issues he supported the proposal. Everson and Fischer <br /> agreed. <br /> Duray recommended approval a PUD Permit allowing a technology <br /> service contractor at 2948 Rice Street, Prewire Specialists, subject to <br /> compliance with all recommendations of the City Planner and the City <br /> F,ngineer. <br /> Motion seconded by Hall. <br /> Motion carried 4 - 0. <br /> AMEND The City Planner requested that consideration of the Zoning Code <br /> ZONING amendments relative to the definition of garden shed, pylon sign <br /> CODE- height for properties in the vicinity of freeway intersections and the <br /> GARDEN Municipal Code amendment relative the definition of dog enclosure <br /> SHEDS, be tabled until the September 9, 2010 Commission meeting. <br /> DOG <br /> ENCLOSURES, Mr. Duray recommended tabling consideration of the Zoning <br /> PYLON SIGN Code amendments related to garden shed and pylon sign height <br /> HEIGHT and the Municipal Code amendment related to dog enclosure. <br /> Motion seconded by F,verson. <br /> Motion carried 4 - 0. <br /> ARCHI- The City Planner presented his report dated August 5, 2010 relative <br /> TECTURAL to architectural treatments for fi•eestanding/pylon signs. The Planner <br /> GUIDELINES noted several recommendations for both the Architectural Guidelines for <br /> the City's commercial areas and the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area, <br /> -15- <br /> <br />
