MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 24, 2025 <br />Kwapick thanked the staff for the work on this program. He recognized that there are a number of <br />organizations that provide assistance in the community, while only a select few can participate in <br />charitable gambling, and therefore supports this program. <br />Miller agreed that this is a great program and wanted to ensure that residents are reminded that the City <br />offers scholarships for youth programming. He believed that this program would be a good use of <br />funds. <br />Kwapick introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2025-9-151—APPROVINGA COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM <br />UTILIZING THE 10% FUND TO BEGIN IN JANUARY 2026 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Gutierrez. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS AND MEETING UPDATES <br />Kwapick provided an update on the recent meeting of the Ramsey County League of Local <br />Government. <br />Miller stated that the previous week, he, Kwapick, and Malone participated in the Little Canada Fire <br />Department's annual golf tournament supporting Firefighters for Healing. <br />Malone provided an update on a recent meeting with Representative Peter Fischer. <br />Mayor Fischer recognized the recent 50t" anniversary celebration of the Ramsey Washington Metro <br />Watershed.
