The following amendments are proposed to correct these conflicts. Two <br /> (accessory structures and freestanding signs) relate to zoning ordinance provisions. <br /> The third (dog enclosures) is a City Code regulation. <br /> Garden Sheds. The City has a number of regulations relating to accessory building <br /> allowances, including a specific allowance for garden sheds as a subset of accessory <br /> buildings, generally. To respond to potential concerns over the use of such sheds for <br /> unauthorized activities (farm animals, etc.), the following provisions are proposed. <br /> 903.020 D.5.a. (3) [Permitted Accessory Structures] <br /> (3) One (1) garden shed, provided that: Such sheds shall be constructed of <br /> materials and colors similar and/or complementary to the principal building; shall <br /> not utilize either corrugated fiberglass or metal siding or roofing; shall be no <br /> higher than twelve (12) feet in height; shall be utilized solely for storage of <br /> materials and equipment accessory to residential dwellings; and shall not be <br /> utilized for shelter or accommodation for animals of and <br /> Freestanding Signs. The current zoning regulations allow for taller freestanding signs <br /> (30 feet rather than the scaled height depending on building size) to be located on <br /> properties that are adjacent to freeways. The code further provides that for properties <br /> within 600 feet of a freeway interchange, this 30 foot allowance would also apply. It was <br /> <br />
