<br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> SEPTEMBER 8, 2010 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-9-2I1-AWARDING THE QUOTE OF <br /> SHELTERTECHIN THEAMOUNT OF $8,860 FOR ABATEMENT <br /> AND THE QUOTE OF CARL BOLANDER & SONS FOR <br /> DEMOLITION OF THE SITES LOCATED AT 2825 COUNTRY <br /> DRIVE AND 2404 RICE STREET AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br /> CITYADMINISTRATOR AND SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH <br /> SPECIFICATIONS <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> CALL The City Administrator reviewed his report dated September I , 2010 <br /> ASSESSMENT recommending that costs be declared and preparation of assessment rolls <br /> HEARINGS ordered for the 2010 Mill & Overlay improvements, the 2010 Street <br /> FOR 2010 Reconstruction improvements, and the 2010 Utility improvements. He <br /> IMPROVEMENTS also recommended that assessment hearings for these improvements be <br /> called for Tuesday, October 19, 2010 as outlined in his September 1, 2010 <br /> memo. <br /> Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-9-212 -DECLARING COSTS AND <br /> ORDERING PREPARATION OFASSESSMENT ROLLS FOR ALL <br /> 2010 IMPROVEMENTS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br /> ADMINISTRATOR AND CALLING ASSESSMENT HEARINGS FOR <br /> THESE IMPROVEMENTS FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2010 AS <br /> OUTLINED IN THE CITYADMINISTRATOR'SREPQRT DATED <br /> SEPTEMBER .1, 2010 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> 2011 Blesener reported that earlier this evening the Council held a workshop <br /> PRELIMINARY meeting at which the preliminary 2011 Budget was reviewed. The issue <br /> BUDGET before the Council at this point is the levy at which to certify the <br /> preliminary 2011 Budget. He noted that the final budget will be adopted <br /> in December, 2010. Once the preliminary levy is adopted, the City has the <br /> ability to reduce the final levy amount, but cannot exceed the preliminary <br /> levy. In the meantime, the City Council has three months to work on the <br /> budget and try to reduce the levy from what is adopted this evening. <br /> 12 <br /> <br />
