MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> PARKS & 12ECREATION COMMISSION <br /> LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> September 2, 2010 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br /> Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of September, <br /> 2010, in the council chambers of the city center located at 515 Little Canada Road Fast in <br /> said city. <br /> Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of <br /> the commission were present: <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Linda Fahey, Chair <br /> Ms. Ruth Steinwall <br /> Ms. Patti Sullivan <br /> Mr. Tom Maida <br /> Mr. Dan Slain <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Ms. Katie Lolmaugh <br /> Mr. Kevin Steinert <br /> ALSO PRESBNT: Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br /> Mr. James Morelan, Park & Recreation Director <br /> Ms. Dotty Norgard, Recording Secretary <br /> <br /> MINUTES Slain made a motion to accept the minutes from the August 5, 2010 meeting, seconded by <br /> Sullivan. Motion carried. <br /> OLD <br /> BUSINESS NORTH/SOUTH TRAIL CONNECTION STATUS REPORT <br /> A rough draft of the status report was brought by Sanders for all commissioners to review. <br /> He went onto explain this is what the feasibility report will look like, with maps, routes and <br /> costs of the trail connection. They are continuing to wor]< on the report. <br /> Sanders stated there are more meetings planned with the key players of the trail. They are <br /> looking ahead to regional status to get the needed funding. They are currently working <br /> closely with the City of Maplewood. Maida asked which groups are involved with the <br /> planning. Sanders stated the Roseville School District, St. Jude's Medical, <br /> Ramsey/Washington Watershed District, Capitol Region Watershed District, Mn/DOT, <br /> Ramsey County and I-Iarambee School are the main groups they are currently involved with <br /> in the planning meetings. <br /> Slain asked iP Sanders knew the timing for the construction of the walkway over Highway <br /> 36. Sanders thinks the pedestrian bridge's completion is 5 to 10 years away. Slain asked if <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />
