MINi7TES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> SEPTEMBER 9, 2010 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br /> Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of <br /> September, 2010 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br /> 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br /> Chair Dan Knudsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br /> following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Dan Knudsen <br /> Mr. Scott Barraclough <br /> Mr. Tom Duray <br /> Mr. Michael Everson <br /> Mr. Tom Fischer <br /> Mr. Jon Ha11 <br /> Mr. Chuck Pechmann <br /> ALSO PRF,SENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br /> Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV <br /> Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br /> <br /> MINUTES The August 12, 2010 Planning Commission meeting minutes were <br /> approved as submitted. <br /> CUP - Mr. Pat Domeier, Lapham-Hickey Steel, appeared before the <br /> <br /> 3250 SPRUCE Commission requesting approval of a Conditional Use Permit to <br /> STREET - allow outdoor storage on their site at 3250 Spruce Street. Domeier <br /> LAPHAM reported that the storage area is fenced and the view from the road <br /> HICKEY landscaped. He noted that the company's outdoor storage needs are <br /> STEEL minimal. He described the storage which includes shipping containers <br /> provided by customers, some skids, scrap containers, aone-ton pick-up <br /> truck, etc. There are two trailers on the site which will be removed. <br /> Domeier pointed out That all steel material is store inside the building. <br /> Domeier noted that the shipping containers are constantly moving as they <br /> are used for shipping to customers. <br /> The City Planner reported that the original CUP for outdoor storage for <br /> this site was issued prior to amendments being made to the Zoning Code <br /> with impacted outdoor storage in the I-P District.
