MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> LITTLE CANADA, MINNF,SOTA <br /> OCTOBER 19, 201.0 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of <br /> Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 19th day of October, 2010 in the <br /> Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said <br /> City. <br /> Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and the following <br /> members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br /> CITY COLINCII,: Mayor Mr. Bill Blesener <br /> Council Member Ms. Shelly Boss (arr. 6:05 p.m.) <br /> Council Member Mr. John Keis <br /> Council Member Mr. Rick Montour (left 6:10 p.m.) <br /> ABSFN"1': Council Member Mr. Mike McGraw <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Ranson <br /> City Engineer Mr. Lee Elfering <br /> City Clerlc Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br /> <br /> IMP. NOS. Mayor Blesener opened the Public I-Tearing to consider adoption of the <br /> <br /> 2010-15 & 16 the assessment roll for Improvement 2010-15, County Road B-2 (from <br /> COUNTY Park Street to Rice Street) by water main as well as assessment roll for <br /> ROAD B-2 & hnprovement No. 2010-16, Park Street (from County Road B-2 to <br /> <br /> PA12K vacated Transit Street) by road reconstruction and water main. <br /> STREET <br /> The City Engineer reviewed the project costs, noting that the County Road B-2 <br /> project costs were estimated at $68,258.75, with the assessable amount at $8,180. <br /> The Park Street project costs were estimated at $92,922.00 with all these costs <br /> being assessable. <br /> 1'he Engineer then reviewed assessment payment options noting that property <br /> owners can pay their assessment in full or part to the City within 30 days of <br /> adoption of the assessment (through November 18, 2010) with no interest. After <br /> that 30-day period, the unpaid assessment balance will be certified to Ramsey <br /> Cow~ty and spread for collection with property faxes fora 10 year period at 5% <br /> interest. The Engineer noted that once an assessment balance is certified to the <br /> County, the property owner can pay it in full during the 10-year period. However, <br /> that payment should be paid by November 15`x' of any given year in order to avoid <br /> the neat year's interest being added to the pay-off amount. <br /> <br />
