<br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> OCTOBER 27, 2010 <br /> CONSENT Ms. Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> AGENDA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-10-268 -APPROVING THE CONSENT <br /> AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br /> *APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; <br /> *CALL FOR WORKSHOP MEETING FOR WEDNESDAY, <br /> NOVEMBER 10, 2010 AT 6:30 P.M. TO REVIEW SCOPE OF <br /> SERVICES FOR PLANNING REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS; <br /> *AUTHORIZEAPPLICATION FOR SCORE GRANT; <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> FIRE Don Smiley, Little Canada Fire Chief, appeared before the Council to <br /> DEPT. request approval for two building improvements the Fire Department is <br /> BUILDING planning for the Fire Station. This approval is required as part of the lease <br /> IMPROVEMENTS that the Department has with the City. The first improvement proposed is <br /> for the enclosing of some open space to make a conference room at the <br /> Fire Station. 'fhe second is for construction of a monument sign at the <br /> Fire Station, the design of which is similar to the momm~ent sign at the <br /> City Center. The Chief indicated that the sign would have an electronic <br /> reader board that would be used to promote fire safety awareness, <br /> community messages, etc. The Chief reported that funding for these <br /> improvements would come from the Fire Department's charitable <br /> gambling funds and wilt require no taxpayer dollars. <br /> Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-10-269 -APPROVING THE FIRE <br /> STATION BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS AS PROPOSED BY THE <br /> LITTLE CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT ACKNOWLEDGING THAT <br /> THESE IMPROVEMENTS WILL BE PAID FOR FROM TIIE <br /> DEPARTMENT'S CHARITABLE GAMBLING PROCEEDS <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Rosolution declared adopted. <br /> 10 <br /> <br />
