<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> OCTOBER 27, 2010 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> AMENll Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider an Amendment to the <br /> ZONING Toning Code relative to screening requirements for outdoor storage in the <br /> CODE Industrial Zoning Districts. It was noted that the Planning Commission <br /> RELATIVE recommended approval subject to compliance with the recommendations <br /> TO OUTDOOR of the City Planner. <br /> STORAGE <br /> SCREENING The City Plarmer reported that the proposed amendment to screening <br /> REQUIREMENTS requirements in the Industrial Districts came about due to a recent outdoor <br /> storage application and the Code requirement that gate areas are required <br /> to be screened under the Code. The applicant requested a waiver from this <br /> requirement for security purposes. The Planner noted that the City has <br /> received input from the Sheriffls Department that their preference is to <br /> have a line of site into outdoor storage areas. <br /> Montour noted the provision that the gate area that is unscreened can be <br /> up to 24 feet in width. The City Planner pointed out that this is the same <br /> maximum width as a drive aisle, but indicated that gates are typically <br /> somewhat narrower than 24 feet. <br /> There was no one else present from the general public wishing to <br /> comment on this matter. <br /> Upon motion by Montour, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was <br /> closed. <br /> Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution azid moved its adoption: <br /> RESOL UTION NO. 20I0-10-266 - APPROVING AN AMENDMENT <br /> TO THE ZONING CODE RELATIVE TO SCREENING <br /> REQUIREMENTS FOR OUTDOOR STORAGE IN THE <br /> INDUSTRIAL ZONING DISTRICTS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br /> CITY PLANNER IN HIS REPORT DATED OCTOBER 7, 2010 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> REZONE & Blesener opened the continuation of Public Hearing to consider the request <br /> CUP - 3075 of Thomas and Gayle Nielsen for the Rezoning of their property at 3075 <br /> 8 <br /> <br />
