MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 27, 2010
OFFICE PARK and the Planning Commission recommended approval subject to
conditions.
The City Planner reported that at the time Heritage Off ce Park was
consh•ucted, approval was given for agarage/storage building on the area
of the property under the power lines. 'That building was never
constructed, although the concrete slab for the building was installed. The
owners of the office park would now like to pursue the garage/storage
building and have applied for an amended PUD Permit to do so. The
owners have indicated that the building materials to be used would be
consistent with those used for the office buildings. The Planner reported
that staff and the Planning Commission have recommended approval
subject to compliance with a number of conditions as outlined in the
Planner's report dated October 5, 2010.
Ken Olsen, Heritage Office Park, noted the condition that an updated
easement agreement with Xcel Energy be submitted. Olsen pointed out
that the original easement agreement is a recorded document against the
property. He also indicated that he would pursue an updated agreement
with Xcel, however. Olsen noted that the powerlines across the Heritage
Office Park property were raised as part of the IJnweave the Weave
project. Therefore, it may be possible that they would be allowed to
construct a taller garage building with a hip roof similar to the design of
Che office buildings. Olsen indicated that Heritage Office Park would
comply with all the recommendations of the City Planner. Olsen asked
the next step relative to the PUD Agreement with the City as
recommended by the Planner. Olsen was informed to contact the City
Administrator to begin that process.
There was no one else present wishing to comment on this matter.
Upon motion by McGraw, seconded by Boss, the public hearing was
closed.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2010-10-265 - APPROVING ANAMENDMENT
TO PUD AGREEMENT IN THE I-P ZONING DISTRICT
ALLOWING THE CONSTR UCTION OFAN ACCESSORY
GARAGE/STORAGE BUILDING ON LOT G, BLOCK 1, HERITAGE
OFFICE PARK 3RD ADDITIONAS REQUESTED BY HERITAGE
OFFICE PARK ASSOCIATION SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH
THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS
OUTLINED IN HIS REPORT DATED OCTOBER S, 2010
7
