MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 15, 2010
'APPROVAL OF PARTIAL PAY REQUEST TO METRO UTILITIES
FOR NORTHEAST UTILITY IMPROVEMENT AS RECOMMENDED
BY THE CITY ENGINEER;
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
2011 STREET The City Administrator reported that neighborhood meetings were held on
IMPROVEMENTS potential 2011 street projects. At those meetings there were varying levels
of support for the projects. Staff informed the property owners present
that they would recommend to the Council that improvement hearings be
held on each of the projects. The projects would then likely be ordered
and bids would be received for the work. At the time that bids are
received, there would be a post -bid award meeting with the property
owners to update them on the costs. The Administrator noted that it is
anticipated that the bidding climate will be favorable in 2011, and pointed
out that, if so, there is the opportunity to save both the property owners
and taxpayers money on these projects.
Keis asked if Reidmond was going to be included as a potential project.
The City Administrator indicated that this was discussed at the Dianna
Lane neighborhood meeting. However, Reidmond has some usable life,
therefore, staff is not recommending proceeding with a street improvement
at this time. Also, including Reidmond in the Dianna Lane project
actually increases the costs for the Dianna Lane property owners.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -12 -295 ORDERING PREPARATION OF
FEASIBILITY REPORTS FOR PROPOSED 2011 STREET
IMPROVEMENTS
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0).
