MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 15, 2010 <br />that in addition to reappointing the incumbents, Heidi Murphy be <br />appointed to fill the two -year vacancy left by Mike Everson's resignation. <br />By ballot of the Mayor and Council, Dan Knudsen and Tom Duray were <br />re- appointed to three year terms, and Heidi Murphy was appointed to a <br />two -year term. <br />PARKS The City Administrator reported that the City received applications for <br />RECREATION appointment to the Parks Recreation Commission from incumbents <br />COMMISSION Tom Maida, Kevin Steinert, and Ruth Steinwall. Applications were also <br />received from Lynda Beaudoin, Samuel Espey, Carl Gerke, Jeffrey <br />Heikke, Ronald Horwath, David Miller, Terrence Peterson, and Kristen <br />Stromquist. These applicants were interviewed via telephone by the Parks <br />Recreation Director and Commission Chair. All appear qualified and <br />able to do a good job. However, it was the Director's and Chair's <br />recommendation that the three incumbents be reappointed. <br />SNOWPLOWING Montour reported that in reviewing his property tax statement, <br />snowplowing made up $56.72 of his total property tax bill. Montour felt <br />this cost was very economical given the service that property owners in <br />the City receive. <br />HAPPY <br />HOLIDAYS <br />By ballot of the Mayor and Council, Tom Maida, Kevin Steinert, and Ruth <br />Steinwall were reappointed to three year terms on the Parks Recreation <br />Commission. <br />On behalf of the City, the Mayor wished everyone Happy Holidays. <br />ADJOURN Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -11- 301 ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
