MINUTES CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 15, 2010 DATED DECEMBER 10, 2010 SUBJECT TO CLARIFICATION THAT THE STANDARD IS IN PLAYAS PART OF ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ONLY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 2011 GOAL The City Administrator recommended that the Council call for a workshop SETTING meeting in order to conduct 2011 Goal Setting. He reported that Mark WORKSHOP Nagle is available to facilitate the workshop and reported on his availability. Montour suggested that the Mayor appoint two or three citizens at large to attend this workshop. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -12- 299 CALLING A 2011 GOAL SETTING WORKSHOP FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2011 AT 4:30 PM. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. RENTAL The City Administrator recommended that the Council call for a workshop HOUSING meeting to discuss issues related to rental housing licensing. LICENSING WORKSHOP Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -12 -300 CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2011 AT 6:30 P.M. TO DISCUSS ISSUES RELATED TO RENTAL HOUSING LICENSING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PLANNING The City Administrator reported that the City received applications for COMMISSION appointment to the Planning Commission from the incumbents Dan APPOINTMENTS Knudsen and Tom Duray as well as from Carl Gerke, Vance Johnson, Heidi Murphy, and Nick Schwalbach. The Administrator reported that he and the Commission Chair interviewed the new applicants. While all appear qualified and able to do a good job, it was their recommendation 12
