MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 15, 2010 <br />Administrator pointed out that the fiscal problems at the State trickle down <br />to the lower levels of government. <br />Shoup commented that salaries are a part of the budget adoption process, <br />noting that the County received a lot of negative comments on this issue as <br />part of their TNT hearing. <br />There was no one else present from the general public wishing to <br />comment on the proposed 2011 Budget. <br />Upon motion by Keis, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -12 -290 ADOPTING THE 2011 TAX LEVY <br />FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA AS FOLLOWS: <br />GROSS TAX LEVY $2,660,453 <br />GENERAL FUND $2,315,738 <br />CAPITAL FUND $187,515 <br />INFRASTRUCTURE FUND $157,200 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The next action item was approval of 2011 Bonded Indebtedness Tax <br />Levy Reductions. Blesener pointed out that the City has no bonded debt <br />that is supported by the tax levy. <br />Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -12- 291— APPROVING THE 2011 BONDED <br />INDEBTEDNESS TAX LEVY REDUCTIONS AS RECOMMENDED <br />BY THE CITY STAFF, REDUCING THE BONDED <br />INDEBTEDNESS TAX LEVY TO $0 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator requested that the Council ratify the 2011 Capital <br />Improvement Plan, but noted that capital items will be submitted to the <br />Council for additional evaluation and approval before purchase. <br />8 <br />
