MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 9, 2011 <br />The City Administrator recommended that the Council ratify these goals, <br />and indicated that staff will prepare action plans for accomplishing the <br />goals. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -2 -41— RATIFYING THE 2011 GOALS AS <br />WERE IDENTIFIED AT THE 2011 GOAL SETTING SESSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CITY PLANNER The City Administrator reported that a second interview was held <br />CONTRACT with representatives of WSB and Associates on Monday, February 7, 2011 <br />as part of the consideration of the two finalist first for City planning <br />consulting services. The other finalist firm is the City's current planner, <br />Northwest Associated Consultants (NAC). As a result of that interview <br />process, the consensus was to reappoint NAC as the City's planner. The <br />Administrator indicated that the next step would be for City staff to begin <br />contract negotiations. <br />Montour thanked the firms that responded to the City's Request for <br />Proposals for City planning services. McGraw also thanked the members <br />of the Planning Commission that participated in the process. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -2 -42 AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO BEGIN CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS WITH <br />NORTHWEST ASSOCIATED CONSULTANTS FOR CITY <br />PLANNING SERVICES, AND PRESENT A CONTRACT TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />POTHOLE The City Administrator reported that in response to a recommendation <br />POLICY by the League of MN Cities Insurance Trust, the Public Works <br />Superintendent prepared a Pothole Repair Policy which essentially <br />documents the City's current procedures. <br />10 <br />
