MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />FEBRUARY 10, 2011 <br />2011 GOALS <br />ADJOURN <br />Motion seconded by Duray. <br />Motion carried 6 0. <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the 2011 Goals which were identified <br />at the February 1, 2011 Goal Setting Session. In addition to the top <br />ranked goals, it was noted that several other goals were identified which <br />the City will work to accomplish. Knudsen noted that one of these goals <br />related to educational requirements for new Commission members. <br />Knudsen stated that in suggesting this goal, he felt that key City staff and <br />the City Planner could meet with new members and provide introductory <br />information relative to their positions. The City Clerk also noted that <br />Government Training Services holds planning seminars on an annual basis <br />and that she would provide the 2011 information to the Commissioners as <br />soon as she receives it. <br />There was discussion about the goal to conduct a community residential <br />and business survey, with the City Clerk updating the Commission on the <br />action the Council took at their February 9 meeting to proceed with a <br />residential survey. She noted that Decision Resources, the company <br />which would conduct the survey, is recommending a business focus group. <br />A workshop meeting has been called for Wednesday, February 23, 2011, <br />with Decision Resources to begin formulating questions and discuss the <br />business focus group concept. <br />Duray recommended that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Hall. <br />Motion carried 6 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kathy Glari er <br />City Clerk <br />-4- <br />
