MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 28, 2010 <br />underaged individuals does not occur. The City Administrator also <br />reviewed information obtain from the League of MN Cities relative to <br />criminal penalties, as well as civil and individual liability related to <br />underage sale and consumption. <br />Montour asked about security at the event. The City Administrator <br />indicated that Canadian Days does have security present during the house <br />the event is going on. This is the reason for limiting the hours of sale to <br />the hours of the Canadian Days event. Montour suggested that perhaps <br />LCRA should hire their own security, and suggested that this might he an <br />additional condition for next year's event. <br />The City Administrator noted that these rules were not a condition of the <br />liquor license approvals for this year's event, but suggested that they be <br />part of the license approval in subsequent years. He asked that the <br />Council ratify the rules before he forwards them to Canadian Days and <br />LCRA with the request that they abide by them this year. <br />Council suggested that rules be a condition of approval for all temporary <br />liquor licenses. The Administrator indicated that as individual license <br />requests are made, either these rules or an appropriate modification would <br />be included for Council consideration. <br />Ms. Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -7 -185 RATIFYING THE LIQUOR SALES <br />RULES AS PRESENTED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND <br />ENCOURAGING CANADIAN DAYS AND LITTLE CANADA <br />RECREATION ASSOCIATION TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES <br />DURING THE 2010 CELEBRATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
