Licensees, whose licenses have been revoked, shall not be eligible for another Tobacco Products License for a minimum period of one year from the date of said revocation. Section 6 SUMMARY PUBLICATION. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 412.191, in the case of a lengthy ordinance, a summary may be published. While a copy of the entire ordinance is available without cost at the office of the City Clerk, the following summary is approved by the City Council and shall be published in lieu of publishing the entire ordinance: The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the City's tobacco license ordinance to create a new category of license for tobacco stores eligible for the "sampling" exemption from the Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act. The ordinance amendment defines "sampling" and establishes new license restrictions upon tobacco stores and upon other licenses, now known as "general sales and display licenses." The amendment also authorizes the Council to impose administrative fines for violations of license restrictions beyond the sale of tobacco to minors. Section 7 Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and publication. ADOPTED by the City Council of Little Canada this day of 2011.
