MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 14, 2011 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of <br />April, 2011 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Dan Knudsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Jon Hall <br />Ms. Heidi Murphy <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Mr. Chuck Pechmann <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />MINUTES The February 10, 2011 Planning Commission meeting minutes were <br />approved as submitted. <br />AMEND The City Planner reported that Robert Wagner, representing Graba <br />PUD — properties, has requested an amendment to their PUD-I3 zoning to allow <br />3225 a thrift store use of their building. The Planner noted that the property <br />COUNTRY in question is the former Knox building. The primary tenant of this <br />DRIVE — building is a gymnastics facility, and the Planner noted the list of uses <br />GRABA currently allowed for this property. The Planner pointed out that when the <br />PUD -B District uses were developed, the list was similar to what was <br />allowed in the Hom Furniture Building. Many of the uses are retail in <br />nature, including antique, art, books, furniture shops, etc. The Planner felt <br />the thrift store is a similar retail use. <br />Knudsen noted that the common element between the approved uses is <br />that these uses will generate traffic. The Planner indicated that when the <br />list was developed, it was with the expectation that most of the property <br />
