MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />June 2, 2011 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of June, 2011, <br />in the council room of the city center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. <br />Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of <br />the commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />Ms. Linda Fahey, Chair <br />Mr. Jeff Heikke <br />Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />Ms. Katie Lolmaugh <br />Mr. Tom Maida <br />Mr. Dan Slain <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Ms. Dotty Norgard, Recording Secretary <br />WELCOME <br />NEW <br />MEMBER Chair Fahey welcomed Jeff Heikke, the new Parks & Recreation Commissioner, recently <br />selected to fill the vacancy of Steinwall. Fahey asked that everyone give a brief history of <br />their family, work and Little Canada residency as a form of introduction. Heikke stated he <br />has been a resident of Little Canada since 2005, a member of the LCRA for the past two <br />years and attends St. John's Church. All others present gave brief comments about their <br />work and residency history. Heikke said he was excited to serve on this Commission and <br />commented it is a great opportunity for him to become more involved with the community. <br />MINUTES The minutes from the May 5, 2011, meeting were approved by Sullivan, seconded by <br />Lolmaugh. Motion carried. <br />APPOINT- <br />MENT OF <br />VICE <br />CHAIR Patti Sullivan was nominated to fill the vacancy of this office for the duration of the term. <br />Sullivan accepted the Vice Chair position. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
