MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 8, 2011
The Administrator noted that the options are to reach an agreement with
the City's current haulers, go out for bid which will likely result in one
hauler serving the entire community, or combining with another organized
collection city. The Administrator also noted that issues being evaluated
are the bulky item pick -up versus holding a clean -up day, inclusion of
townhomes in the organized collection contract, yard waste collection.
The Administrator recommended that the Council call for a workshop on
Monday, June 20th, at 6:00 p.m. to review organized collection options in
the event that a basic agreement is not reached with the haulers at the
meeting that is scheduled for earlier that same day. The Administrator
indicated that if an agreement is reached, the workshop would be
cancelled.
Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -6 -111 — CALLING A WORKSHOP FOR
MONDAY, JUNE 20, 2011, AT 6:00 P.M.
