MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 20, 2011 <br />workshop. The consensus of the Council was that Tuesday was preferable <br />if the workshop is necessary to hold. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -6 -115 — CONTINUING THE JUNE 20, 2011 <br />WORKSHOP ON ORGANIZED COLLECTION TO TUESDAY, JUNE <br />21, 2011 AT 6:00 P.M. IF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />DETERMINES IT IS NECESSARY TO PROCEED WITH THE <br />WORKSHOP <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />STANLEY Mayor Blesener congratulated Council Member McGraw on the Boston <br />CUP Bruin's win over the Vancouver Kanouks winning the Stanley Cup. <br />Blesener noted that McGraw has been a scout for the Bruins for the past <br />nine years, and prior to that a scout for the Anaheim Ducks for 9 years. <br />McGraw indicated that this was a once -in -a- lifetime and a humbling <br />experience. He noted how difficult an achievement such as this actually <br />is. <br />FARMERS' Blesener noted that today was the first day of the Parks & Rec <br />MARKET Department's Farmers' Market, which will be held on Mondays (except <br />holidays) through September 26 `1, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Blesener <br />reported that the Parks & Rec Department is pleased with the market's <br />first day, and noted that there will be additional vendors at the market as <br />the summer growing season progresses. <br />AMEND Mayor Blesener opened the continued Public Hearing to consider a request <br />PUD PERMIT — for Amendment to PUD Permit for expansion of freestanding sign at 2900 <br />2900 RICE Rice Street, the Marketplace Shopping Center. <br />STREET — <br />MARKET The City Planner reported that the owners of the Marketplace Shopping <br />PLACE Center first applied for a PUD Amendment last fall to increase the size of <br />SHOPPING their freestanding sign as well as modify the sign design. The Planner <br />CENTER noted that the sign now before the Council for action is dramatically <br />different from what was originally proposed. <br />2 <br />
