MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 13, 2011 <br />AMEND PUD <br />& EXTEND <br />PUT) — <br />3213 COUNTRY <br />DRIVE — <br />PALLET <br />SERVICE <br />CORP. <br />Mayor Blesener opened the continued Public I- Tearing for the request for <br />Amendment to PUD Permit for permanent outdoor storage of construction <br />materials as well as extending the time period for PUD Permit related to <br />the construction of building expansion at 3213 Country Drive, Pallet <br />Service Corporation. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -7 -130 — BRINGING CONSIDERATION OF <br />THE REQUESTS FOR AMENDMENT TO PUD PERMIT FOR <br />PERMANENT OUTDOOR STORAGE OF CONSTRUCTION <br />MATERIALS AS WELL AS EXTENDING THE TIME PERIOD FOR <br />PUD PERMIT RELATED TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDING <br />EXPANSION, 3132 COUNTRY DRIVE, PALLET SERVICE <br />CORPORATION BACK TO TABLE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Blesener reported that this matter was before the Council at its last <br />meeting. I- Iowever, given the applicant was not present, action was tabled. <br />He noted that the Planning Commission recommended approval of the <br />PUD requests subject to conditions. <br />The City Planner reported that the request is to Amend a PUD Permit for <br />interim outdoor storage of construction materials, making this permanent <br />storage as well as increasing the amount of storage. The Planner indicated <br />that the current PUD Permit allows for 12,000 square feet of construction <br />materials in stacks 9 feet high. The applicant is requesting 60,000 square <br />feet of materials in stacks 14 feet high. The Planner also indicated that the <br />applicant is also requesting extension of a PUD permit related to <br />construction of a building expansion. 'the applicant is not prepared at this <br />time to proceed with a building expansion, however, may be in a position <br />to do so in the future. <br />Bob Wenner, Pallet Service Corporation, appeared before the Council and <br />reported that that he would like to purchase the property at 3213 Country <br />Drive. He is currently leasing space at this location. Wenner stated that <br />he has two businesses, Pallet Service Corporation and Grove Wholesale <br />Lumber; and would like to add this site to his current locations in Maple <br />Grove and Wisconsin pointing out that his business has been growing. <br />Wenner reported that his business deals in industrial grade wood products <br />that are sold to customers and used to make packaging for products that <br />4 <br />
