MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 27, 2011 TO VARIANCE STANDARDS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY PLANNER AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. METRO Simcha Plisner, Little Canada resident, appeared before the Council MOBILITY expressing concerns about the Metro Mobility services that are provided CONCERNS to the disabled in Little Canada. Plisner provided some background on his disabled status and his need for the Metro Mobility service. In addition to the large window of time that Metro Mobility requires for getting the disabled to and from locations, Plisner noted that his primary concern is with the times that Metro Mobility has set for return trips home, noting that these times are much earlier than in other cities, while St. Paul and Minneapolis have 24 -hour service. Plisner requested the City's assistance in working with Metro Transit on this issue and indicated that whatever help the City can provided would be greatly appreciated. CONSENT AGENDA Plisner also expressed his extreme gratitude to the Little Canada Fire Department for the assistance that they have provided him over the years. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -7- 141 — APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: *APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; *CALL FOR A 2012 BUDGET WORKSHOP MEETING TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2011, AT 6:30 P.M.; *APPROVAL OF PERSONNEL POLICY AMENDMENTS AS PROPOSED IN STAFF'S REPORT DATED JULY 21, 2011 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. AT & T CELL The City Administrator presented the Council with an amended AT & T TOWER Tower Lease Agreement which increased the rental rate for antennas on LEASE the City's water tower by $500 per month to $2,397 per month.
