MINUTES <br />DEVELOPMENT <br />STAGE PUD — <br />ONE ST. JUDE <br />MEDICAL <br />DRIVE — <br />ST. JUDE <br />MEDICAL <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 11, 2011 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 11th day of <br />August, 2011 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Dan Knudsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Mr. Jon Hall <br />Ms. Heidi Murphy <br />Mr. Chuck Pechmann <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Bob Kirmes, City Planner <br />Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />The July 14, 2011 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved <br />as submitted. <br />Ken Sheehan, Architectural Alliance representing St. Jude Medical, <br />appeared before the Commission to request Development Stage PUD <br />approval in order to construct a portion of parking structure which was <br />previously approved under a PUD Concept Stage Plan Sheehan <br />reported that in December of 2010 the St. Jude PUD was amended to <br />add 20,000 square feet to its corporate headquarters. An adjustment to <br />parking was also done at that time. St. Jude has continued to evaluate its <br />parking needs and would like to increase capacity to better serve visitors <br />and employees. Therefore, the proposal is for the addition of <br />approximately 100 more stalls over the current parking. The additional <br />parking that was approved in December of 2010 has not yet been <br />constructed, so the proposal this evening is for an additional 40 stalls over <br />what was approved in December. The additional parking will be <br />accomplished with a parking deck constructed over the southern portion of <br />the parking lot. <br />Knudsen asked if the plan remained to add a second parking deck to the <br />structure at some time in the future. Sheehan replied that it did. Sheehan <br />then reviewed the site plan, noting that the final plan would include three <br />
