St. Jude Medical Technology Center Parking Structure
P.U.D. Amendment Application
Page 2 of 3
3. Circulation and Access;
Access to the existing parking lots will remain unchanged from County Road 82. Perimeter
access around the existing and proposed parking structure will be maintained. Vehicular
access to the lower level of the parking structure is provided from the south, and access to
the structured parking deck is provided as an extension of the existing middle parking
terrace. Stair and elevator access is not required in this phase, although SJM is considering
the provision of a stair in the southeast corner of the structure, as budget allows. Future
parking structure expansion /s will accommodate additional vertical circulation as required.
Site lighting will be expanded as required but will continue to be limited to the vehicular and
pedestrian areas and arranged to direct light away from the adjacent properties through the
use of cut -off fixtures and orientation. It is anticipated that the project will re -use the existing
parking lot lighting to the extent possible.
4. Parking;
Per the 2010 PUD Amendment 481 surface parking stalls were provided on the Technology
Center site. We propose to provide approximately 40 additional stalls with the following
breakdown:
Parking on Technology Center Site
Existing Surface Parking: 419 surface stalls
Proposed Parking:
Revised Surface Parking:
New Structured Parking
Total Proposed
• Includes Level 1 and Level 2
340 stalls
178 stalls*
518 stalls
5. Landscaping and Stormwater:
The south and western edges of the site will be landscaped to accommodate the revised
parking area and associated grading modifications. The intent is to extend the existing
landscape concept on the site.
5
