MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 14, 2011 cannot sell the property for more than $78,000 during the first three months after acquisition. The Administrator noted that it is likely that the house and garage on the property will need to be demolished. He pointed out that the purpose of this acquisition is that the City will be able to acquire a piece of property that is needed for a trail improvement through this area. Blesener noted that the parcel is quite large. The City will be able to acquire the land needed for the trail and then sell off the remainder of the parcel for development. Blesener felt that the City will easily recoup the $65,000 paid for this property. The Administrator pointed out that acquisition costs will come from the Park Land Acquisition Fund. Both the Planning Commission and the Parks & Recreation Commission have approved the purchase finding it to be compliance with the Comprehensive Plan and the Parks Master Plan. The Administrator also noted that the realtor that the City utilized for this purchase will rebate his realty fees back to the City. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -9 -186 — APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF 3096 LABORE ROAD IN THE AMOUNT OF $65,000 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT AS WELL AS ANY CLOSING DOCUMENTS RELATIVE TO THIS PURCHASE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. TEMPORARY Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: LIQUOR LICENSE- RESOLUTION NO. 2011-9-187 — APPROVING A TEMPORARY ST. JOHN'S LIQUOR LICENSE FOR ST. JOHN'S MEN'S CLUB BINGO TO CHURCH BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 20, 2011 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 8
