MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 14, 2011 <br />that he would, and again reiterated that he would contact Gopher to <br />discuss the project and their commitment. <br />METRO The City Administrator reported that he contacted Metro Mobility to <br />MOBILITY discuss the concerns raised by Simcha Plisner with regard to the times that <br />this service is available in Little Canada. The Administrator reported that <br />the Metro Mobility schedule is tied to the bus transit schedule. Metro <br />Mobility also informed him that their service is Federally mandated, and <br />the level of service that they provide exceeds the Federal standards. The <br />Administrator reported that the City can petition to increase the service <br />level; however, it is his understanding that petition would be for an <br />increase in the bus transit schedule which would then result in an <br />expanded Metro Mobility schedule. The Administrator reported that he is <br />attempting to have a representative from Metro Mobility attend the <br />October 12th Council meeting to provide more detailed information on <br />this matter. <br />3046 The City Administrator reported that there is an outstanding utility bill <br />LABORE in the amount of $845.94 for the property at 3046 LaBore Road. The <br />ROAD Administrator recommended that this bill be certified to property taxes <br />prior to the City finalizing the purchase of this property. The <br />Administrator reported that Fannie Mae accepted the City's offer for the <br />property. The purchase agreement exempts Fannie Mae from payment of <br />any special assessments, however, the Administrator noted that these <br />charges are for unpaid utilities and are not special assessments. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -9 -185 — CERTIFYING UNPAID UTILITY <br />BILL BALANCE OF $845.94 FOR 3046 LABORE ROAD TO THE <br />COUNTY FOR COLLECTION WITH 2OI2 PROPERTY TAXES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Administrator reported that the asking price for 3046 LaBore Road <br />was $78,900 and Fannie Mae accepted the City's offer of $65,000 for this <br />property. The estimated closing date on this property is October 18th• The <br />Administrator reported that the City is purchasing the property as is. Title <br />transfer will occur via a Special Warranty Deed given the foreclosure of <br />this property. One condition of the purchase agreement is that the City <br />7 <br />
