Norm's Tires Property Betty Strohbeen has asked if the City has any interest in purchasing her property. Attached is a map of the property which consists of 2.21 acres. The County's valuation of this property is $1,135,800. Betty has had an appraisal done of the property which indicates a value of $1.3 million, although this is not necessarily her asking price. (Attachment #1) Replacement of Banner Pole Display Banners: We last purchased banners for our poles on Little Canada Road in 2005. The current banners are started to fade and tear. We could order more of the same type of banners (City of Little Canada & Thunder Bay Sister City). Or we could add some variety to the poles, especially if we add additional ones on Little Canada Road next year and possibly on B2 this year. Some ideas we have kicked around included making banners for our key community groups such as the Fire Department, Canadian Days, I.,CRA, and the Historical Society. The last time we purchased banners, the cost was $80 each for 20 plus $100 set up for each type of banner. "1110 banners are double -sided meaning that Little Canada and Thunder Bay are featured on each one. Attachment #2 is the current artwork. Your comments about how to proceed are needed. 1
