January 6, 2008 <br />City of Little Canada <br />515 Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, MN 55117-1600 <br />To Whom It May Concern, <br />Regarding the Whispering Pines development, a single - family lot development, located <br />at 685/693 Labor Road we would like to submit our plans for landscaping and tree <br />replacement. <br />The following bulleted items are significant landscaping items to be addressed during <br />the development of Whispering Pines: <br />Two landscape locations located at the entrance of the development on each <br />side of Thunder Bay Court for curb appeal. These two locations will consist of <br />shrubs and miscellaneous landscaping. <br />- All Existing Trees that can be saved, within reasonable terms, during <br />development will be saved. <br />- All trees located in the building site of each lot or within 15 feet of the perimeters <br />of the building sites will not demand tree replacement. <br />- On the west side of the development, back of lots 2 -5 and the west side of lot 6, <br />will see significant tree replacement. Preliminary species we anticipate to be <br />used for tree replacement consist of pines, Northern Red Oak, and Maple trees. <br />Each lot will consist of 10 -20 newly replaced trees. Tree placement will be <br />specific to the west side of the development for a buffer zone. Depending on <br />the amount of trees loss per lot will dictate the amount of tree replacement <br />needed on that specific lot. Included in the landscaping will be 1 -2 rows of <br />shrubbery to be placed along the west side of the development to increase the <br />
