NSYF is looking for ways to reduce their costs and estimate that this could save
their organization approximately $2,400.00 per year.
This requirement has been a part of the City's Gambling Ordinance since its adoption in
the early 1990's. Given the charitable gambling climate that existed at that time, the City
of Little Canada adopted some regulations that were more stringent than State
requirements. The State does not require a CPA signature on monthly reports.
Staff is recommending approval of the ordinance amendment as requested by NSYF.
Please note that the requirement for submittal of an annual CPA audit would remain.
cc: Bob Matson, NSYF
1
