A member
of our organization completes our tax return each month and has done so since we
started gambling. The CPA who signs our return has never had a question or
requested a change to the return.
The CPA is not required to sign a return for the Department of Revenue. Neither
does the City of St. Paul require a CPA signature.
We respectfully request that the City of Little Canada eliminate this monthly
requirement. We would continue to submit monthly tax returns signed by the CEO,
Gambling Manager and the tax return preparer but unsigned by the CPA. You will
also receive a copy of the state required annual CPA audit.
During the year we are subject to compliance audits by the IRS, Attorney Generals
Office, Department of Revenue and the Gambling Control Board. Eliminating this
monthly expense would save us approximately $2,400.00 per year.
Thank you for your consideration.
J A-
R.
