MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JULY 10, 2008 <br />CUP & IUP- Dave Holm, On -Site Sanitation, appeared before the Commission <br />70 WOODLYN requesting a Conditional Use Permit for outdoor storage of miscellaneous <br />AVENUE — equipment related to the War -Ron Company, 70 Woodlyn Avenue, as well <br />WAR -RON an Interim Use Permit for off -site outdoor storage by On -Site Sanitation (95 <br />COMPANY Woodlyn) to allow the storage of portable toilets and related equipment. <br />AND ON -SITE <br />SANITATION The Planner noted that the miscellaneous outdoor storage needs to be <br />screened from Woodlyn Avenue. He further noted that the Fire Marshal has <br />recommended a 20 foot wide fire access lane through the middle of the <br />portable toilet storage. <br />Knudsen asked if there were any code violations on either property. The <br />Planner indicated that he was not aware of any. <br />Mr. Pechmann recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit for <br />outdoor storage of miscellaneous equipment for War -Ron Company at 70 <br />Woodlyn Avenue, as well as Interim Use Permit for off -site outdoor storage <br />by On -Site Sanitation (95 Woodlyn Avenue) to allow the storage of <br />portable toilets at 70 Woodlyn subject to compliance with the <br />recommendations of the City Planner as outlined in his July 3, 2008 report, <br />subject to the recommendations of the Fire Marshal for fire access lane as <br />outlined in his July 7, 2008 report, and subject to the screening of outdoor <br />storage from the street at the northwest corner of the property. <br />Motion seconded by Duray. <br />Motion carried 6 — 0. <br />COMP The City Planner indicated that the Comprehensive Plan Update is a <br />PLAN work in progress. The draft document utilizes existing data, policy <br />UPDATE language, Metropolitan Council policy material, etc. <br />ADJOURN <br />It was the consensus of the Commission to delay discussion of the <br />document until next month's meeting given the lateness of the hour. The <br />Commission felt this was a very important document and needed the <br />Commission's full attention. The Planner suggested that as the Commission <br />reviews this draft over the next month, to contact him with their comments. <br />Duray recommended that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Barraelough. <br />Motion carried 6 — 0. <br />- 16 - <br />
