The organization has made application <br />for an Exempt Permit to conduct a raffle. Proceeds from this raffle will be used for on- <br />going operational costs and scholarship awards. I have attached information relative to <br />Nexstar and their mission. The raffle tickets will begin to be sold in 2008, but the actual <br />raffle will not occur until 2009. <br />A satisfactory Sheriff's Department Background Check has been received. Staff <br />recommends approval of the Exempt Permit as requested. <br />1 <br />
