July 23, 2008
Dear Business Owner /Manager:
One of the most productive strategies for reducing the risk of fire is to reduce the
frequency of fires and emergency incidents. In an effort to promote fire safety and
awareness, the City of Little Canada is initiating a Self- Inspection Program for Business
Occupancies that are inspected on a bi- annual basis.
Enclosed you will find a Self - Inspection Form to be completed in the non - inspection year
and returned to the City of Little Canada. At the top of the form is an area for contact
information in case of an emergency. It is important to keep this information up to date in
the event an emergency occurs after normal business hours. On the back of the form is an
Assistance Guideline that explains how the inspection is to be completed.
Because of the differences in individual occupancies, your business may not contain every
inspection item listed. When completing the inspection, fill out the appropriate items
specific to your business occupancy.
After the inspection is complete, the form can be mailed to the City of Little Canada,
Attn: Fire Marshal 515 E. Little Canada Rd. Little Canada, MN 55117, or you may fax the
form to 651- 766 -4048.
Please feel free to contact me at 651- 766 -4033 should you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jim Lee
Fire Marshal
City of Little Canada
12
