Hanson <br />RE: Authorize Award for Abatement of Hazardous Materials for Viking Drive <br />Realignment Project <br />Attached are the specifications we have distributed to a number of abatement contractors to address <br />the needed work at the three properties we acquired in conjunction with the Viking Drive project. <br />Abatement of hazardous materials must occur prior to the demolition of the structures. (Note: I only <br />included the summary information from the reports for your review. The complete documents are <br />available at City Hall for your review. <br />Due to some coordination issues associated with the demolition of the car wash, we just sent out <br />specs on Friday. To allow enough time to get quotes, I have asked for their return by next Thursday. <br />Therefore, I would like authority to award this work to the lowest responsible company in order to <br />keep the project moving rather than wait until our second meeting in June. <br />If you have any comments or questions after reviewing this material, please let me know. <br />
