Staff recommends that the applicant reduce the number of signs or the area of each
sign to produce a sign package that complies with the ordinance.
4. Request for a text amendment to Section 903.110for Electronic Signage to allow
an electronic sign up to 25 feet in height and 200 square feet in area, based on a
finding that the proposed amendment is consistent with the intent of the sign
ordinance.
Staff does not recommend approval of the above text amendment, with the
understanding that electronically generated messages may be displayed under the
current ordinance with the condition that any messages shall not be allowed to change
more than once per day.
5. Request for a Conditional Use Permit for proof of parking based on a finding that
the conditions of approval have been met.
Staff recommends approval of the requested CUP, as the site currently has a large
number of parking stalls. Historically, the existing parking stalls for the subject building
have proved to be adequate. However, staff recommends that the following information
be submitted for review prior to the City Council meeting, as a condition of approval:
• The applicant shall be required to submit a revised site plan illustrating potential
locations for future parking.
• The applicant shall be required to submit documentation to justify the reduction in
parking, including information on the one stall per 600 square feet of showroom
space parking need proposed.
Pc: Kathy Glanzer
Lee Elfering
Steve Westerhaus
s
