Building Services and Systems Persons or material shall permanently guard heating appliances to prevent accidental contact. Discontinue use of all unsafe heating appliances and all heating appliances shall meet International Building Codes, ICC Electrical Codes and the Minnesota State Fire Code. Means of Egress All means of egress shall remain unobstructed and continuous from point of entry to exit discharge. The means of egress including the exit discharge shall be illuminated at all times the building is occupied. Exit signs are required and shall be internally or externally illuminated. Licensed contractors shall do all electrical wiring necessary to install exit signs and exit illumination with proper permits. All wiring shall comply with the ICC Electrical Code. Fire - Resistance Rated Construction The interior of this building has many openings in the fire rated walls, ceilings, doors etc. The fire resistance rated construction shall be maintained. All openings shall be properly repaired, restored or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated. Openings made therein for the passage of pipes, electrical conduit, wires, ducts, air transfer openings, and holes made for any reason shall be protected with approved methods capable of passage of smoke and fire. All repairs will require proper permits and inspections. Conclusion The building owner or occupant of the building shall abate or cause to be abated or correct unsafe conditions noted in the Fire Inspection Report. The unsafe conditions shall be corrected by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or other approved corrective action. All corrections must meet the requirements of the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, ICC Electrical Code and the Minnesota State Fire Code.
