MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 9, 2011 <br />PARTIAL <br />PAYMENT <br />FOR HOFFMAN <br />MCNAMARA <br />FOR COUNTY <br />ROAD B -2 <br />LANDSCAPING <br />CALL <br />WORKSHOP FOR <br />ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT/ <br />TIF UPDATE & <br />RESCHEDULE <br />TOBACCO <br />ORDINANCE <br />WORKSHOP <br />The City Administrator reported that the City Engineer has submitted a <br />corrected partial payment request for the County Road B -2 Landscaping <br />project. The Engineer noted an error in quantities which results in <br />additional partial payment to the contractor, Hoffman McNamara. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -11 -219 - APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT FOR <br />HOFFMAN MCNAMARA FOR COUNTY ROAD B -2 LANDSCAPING <br />BASED ON THE CORRECTED PARTIAL PAYMENT REQUEST <br />SUBMITTED BY THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that Ehlers & Associates has done a <br />review and update of the City Tax Increment Financing (TIF) accounts. <br />Based on the updated information, the City Administrator recommended <br />that the Council call a workshop meeting to review the report as well as <br />discuss the City's options relative to TIF fund balances. The Administrator <br />suggested that given the information Ehlers will present, the City has a <br />unique opportunity to utilize these funds for redevelopment. The <br />Administrator recommended that the workshop on January 11, 2012 at <br />6:00 p.m. He noted that a tobacco ordinance review workshop has already been <br />scheduled for that date and time, but given the more time sensitive nature of the <br />TIP update and economic development opportunities, he recommended the <br />tobacco ordinance workshop be rescheduled to January 25, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -11 -220 — CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING <br />TO REVIEW EHLER'S TAX INCREMENT FINANCING REPORT AND <br />REVIEW ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ISSUES RELATED THERETO <br />FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2012 AT 6:00 P.M., AND <br />RESCHEDULING THE TOBACCO ORDINANCE REVIEW WORKSHOP <br />TO WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2012 AT 6:00 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
