MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 27, 2007 <br />French stated that the driveway he is proposing is not much different than <br />others along Edgerton Street that have turn - arounds. The Planner noted <br />that the Code does not allow parking on turn - arounds. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Montour, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2 007 -6 -147 — APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT FORA DETACHED GARAGE CONSISTING OF 1,500 <br />SQUARE FEET AS REQUESTED BY ROY FRENCH, 2988 <br />EDGERTON STREET, WITH THE REQUIREMENT THAT THERE <br />BE SOME SCREENING OF PORTION OF THE DRIVEWAY <br />CROSSING THE FRONT YARD, SUBJECT TO THERE BEING NO <br />BUSINESS USE OF THE PROPERTY, SUBJECT TO THERE BEING <br />NO ADDITIONAL SHEDS ON THE PROPERTY, AND SUBJECT TO <br />THE REQUIREMENT OFA DUAL BUILDING PERMIT FOR THE <br />GARAGE AND THE HOUSE REMODELING AS DISCUSSED THIS <br />EVENING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (2) Montour, McGraw. <br />Nays (2) Allan, Blesener. Motion failed. <br />VARIANCE — Mayor Blesener noted that Mr. and Mrs. Wittner have withdrawn their <br />231 DEMONT request for a Variance from the front yard setback requirement of 30 feet <br />AVENUE — to accommodate a kitchen addition on their house located at 231 Demont <br />WITTNER Avenue. <br />CONCEPT Mayor Blesener opened the Concept Review for the development of <br />REVIEW — approximately 15 single - family lots for the property located at 685 and <br />685 AND 693 693 LaBore Road owned by Kevin Steinert. Blesener noted that this is <br />LABORE a Concept Review only, and that the City does not have detailed <br />ROAD — information on engineering, drainage, ponding, etc. He also noted that <br />STEINERT while the property has existed as two large lots with a lot of open space, <br />property owners have the rights to develop their property within the <br />confines of the City's Codes. <br />10 <br />
