MINUTES <br />COMP PLAN <br />AMENDMENT <br />& REZONING — <br />ST. JUDE <br />MEDICAL <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JULY 12, 2007 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 12th day of <br />July, 2007 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Dan Knudsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Jon Hall <br />Mr. Jeff Helmeke <br />Mr. Chuck Pechmann <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Ms. Katie Socha <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Vanessa Van Alstine, Cable TV <br />Ms Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />The June 14, 2007 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved <br />as submitted. <br />Mr. Steve Dorgan, CresaPartners, appeared before the Commission <br />requesting a Comprehensive Plan Amendment amending the land use <br />designation from Institutional to Commercial for a 10 acre parcel of <br />property that St. Jude Medical is in the process of purchasing from <br />the Roseville Area School District. The property is located on County Road <br />B -2 and lies between the current St Jude site and the former Capitol View <br />property. There currently are tennis courts and ballfields on the site. <br />Dorgan reported that St Jude is planning to expand its existing facility and <br />the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment would support that <br />expansion. Dorgan noted that the St. Jude expansion would occur in two <br />phases and would total of 475,000 square feet of new space, and would <br />result in a contiguous campus. <br />The City Planner indicated that in addition to the Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment, the Rezoning of the property from Public to Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) was also noticed.
