domestic sewage or other significant pollutants in waste resources, <br />such as silt, dissolved or suspended solids in industrial waste <br />water effluent, dissolved materials in irrigation return flows; or <br />other common water pollutants. <br />(6) Electronics containing cathode ray tubes (CRT's). <br />c. Containers. All occupants of residential dwelling units in the City <br />shall be required by ordinance to keep garbage and refuse in an <br />approved container(s) of approximately 30, 60, or 90 gallons. <br />Exempted are senior residents who qualify for the low volume bag <br />rate. They may use stickered 30- gallon trash bags. <br />d. Location. Residential dwelling units shall have, as required by the <br />City ordinance, their container located at the boulevard adjoining the <br />curb on or before 7:00 a.m. on the designated day of collection. <br />e. Frequency. Each residential dwelling unit shall have its refuse <br />collected a minimum of once per week. <br />f. Additional Collection Service. Refuse in excess of the designated <br />volume -base per dwelling unit or residential dwelling units desiring <br />collection of items from a location other than the boulevard adjoining <br />the curb will be subject to additional collection service charges as set <br />forth in Attachment `B." Collection service for white goods and <br />bulky items must have prior arrangements with the City for collection <br />and shall also be billed in accordance with Attachment `B "; except as <br />provided for in Bulky Item Pickup. <br />g. Reporting. Tonnages of refuse or garbage collected shall be reported <br />to the City on an annual basis with said reports to be submitted by <br />January 150 of the following year. <br />h. Free Pick -Up at City -Owned Properties. Waste Management of <br />Minnesota, Inc. and Allied Waste shall provide service as necessary <br />for the collection and disposal of refuse, recyclables and yard waste <br />from all City -owned properties, including parks and the City's <br />Canadian Days Celebration, at no cost to the City during the term of <br />this Contract. This provision applies to the typical generation of <br />waste and does not include extraordinary clean -outs. <br />1. Disposal. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safe, legal, and <br />environmentally sound disposal of all trash, refuse, bulky items, <br />and any other items and materials collected under this Contract. <br />-5- <br />
