• Thunderbay Rd
• Condit St
• Lakeside Court
In addition to these Streets the Canabury Parking lot is scheduled for 2008. This project
will be 100% assessed. The Fund balance is such that it is supporting the projects as
scheduled. Therefore no adjustment to the Infrastructure Levy is required at this time.
Water /Sewer Capital Replacement:
• The Water /Sewer Capital Replacement Fund budget reflects the sale of the
existing Public Works site in 2009. The estimated cost of a new site is $725,000
and is budgeted for acquisition in 2008 with the building construction in 2009.
• The Wateuuain projects for 2008 included Lakeside Ct and trunk lines for St
Jude's and Richie Place /Maplewood. TIF revenues will fund the St Jude's project
while the other two projects will be funded by a combination of assessments and
City recourses.
• The City is budgeting to have all of the city's utility information on a GIS system
for 2008 at an estimated cost of $18,000. This has become the standard in the
industry. In our case, we would like to have all of our water, sanitary sewer, and
storm sewer appurtenances located using GPS and then loaded on to software that
can overlay it on a map of the City so that it can be referenced by Public Works
when marking for locate requests or doing routine or special maintenance. Our
current maps are very outdated; they haven't been updated since 1989. This
would allow us to continually update our map system as we rebuild streets or add
new streets or utilities.
Overall the Water /Sewer Capital Replacement Fund balance is being sustained as
reasonable levels to allow for future capital replacement needs and new acquisitions.
Therefore no further modifications are considered necessary.
Parkland Acquisition Fund:
• Park charge revenue has increased for 2008 based on the increase in fees. The
revenues are budgeted at the equivalent of 5 homes a year.
• Currently the goal of this fund is to purchase the remaining Round lake properties
along Little Canada Rd as they become available. The Funds on hand are
considered sufficient to accomplish this goal.
