The current unit was purchased in 1991 for $3,033. We were going to wait <br />until we moved into a new shop but since that has been put on hold we would like to <br />replace the Hotsy -brand pressure washer with a new pressure washer from Hotsy. The <br />high - pressure hot water is very effective on the equipment after plowing in the winter to <br />remove salt and dirt. The new unit costs $4780 and they will give us $680 for our old <br />unit. After tax and the trade in the final price is $4366.50. Public Works has always <br />received excellent service from Hotsy and is very familiar with the unit. Staff <br />recommends that Council approve the purchase of a new Hotsy -brand pressure washer <br />for $4366.50. <br />
