ELECTION <br />OF OFFICERS <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />FEBRUARY 2, 2012 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held <br />on the 2nd day of February, 2012, in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. <br />Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Ms. Linda Fahey, Chair <br />Mr. JeffHeikke <br />Ms. Katie Lohnaugh <br />Mr. Tom Maida <br />Mr. Dan Slain <br />Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />ABSENT: Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Rec Dir. <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />By unanimous vote, Linda Fahey was appointed as Chair and Patti <br />Sullivan was appointed as Vice Chair of the Parks & Recreation <br />Commi ssion. <br />MINUTES The Commission unanimously approved the minutes of the November 3, <br />2011 meeting. <br />SPOONER The Parks & Rec Director reported that the Canadian Days Committee <br />PARK — met to discuss the proposal to clear brush on the western edge of Spooner <br />BRUSH Park to provide more room for the Canadian Days Celebration. The <br />CLEARING Committee is in agreement with that proposal and would like the City <br />FOR to proceed so that the additional area is ready for the 2012 Celebration. <br />CANADIAN <br />DAYS Sanders suggested that the prison crew be contacted to determine if they <br />are willing to clear brush. After that clearing is done, a contractor can be <br />hired to do the grubbing, stump removal, etc. and the area can be leveled <br />and seeded. <br />
