MINUTES <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />FEBRUARY 2, 2012 <br />RECREATION The Director reported on the following: <br />OFFERINGS <br />o Market Place Morning Talks — 2/8/12 — Ramsey County <br />Library Offerings; <br />o Open Volleyball Night — Friday evenings, 1/6 thru 3/30, <br />6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Little Canada Elementary School; <br />o 44th Annual Children's Skating Party — 1/11/12, 1:30 p.m. <br />to 3:30 p.m., Little Canada Skating Rink #1; <br />o MN Roller Girls Bus Trip — 2/4/12; <br />o Youth Activities On -Line Registration is now open. <br />LCRA ICE The Director reported that the LCRA Ice Fishing Contest will be held <br />FISHING this Saturday from 12 Noon to 3 p.m. at Lake Gervais Beach. Gates will <br />CONTEST be open at 11 a.m. Concessions will be done by the Little Canada Fire <br />Department. To date the LCRA has approximately 100 pre - registrations <br />with additional registrations anticipated at the gate. The Commission <br />commented that this looks to be a good event, and was impressed with the <br />prizes that have been donated. <br />CITY The entire Commission expressed their support for continuing the City's <br />NEWSLETTER newsletter in color.
