Both projects included supplying the lift station <br />equipment for the proposed rehabilitation of the County Road B2 and Jessica Court lift stations. <br />The following quotes were received. <br />County Road 82 and Jessica Court Lift Station Equipment <br />Corporation Pump Tvpe Prefabricated Station Bid Amount <br />General Repair Gorman -Rupp Gorman -Rupp $99,520.00 <br />Little Canada Lift Station Equipment <br />Corporation Pump Tvpe Prefabricated Station Bid Amount <br />Quality Flow Systems KSB Usemco Pump Mate $60,227.00 <br />Engineering America KJI -Hydro Dakota Pump, Inc. $98,976.00 <br />Different pumps and manufactures of the prefabricated stations were indicated on the bids <br />received as noted above. Due to the various manufactures submitted and difference in cost, we <br />have reviewed and evaluated the proposals based on the following criteria: <br />• Cost <br />• Experience <br />• Support Services <br />• Ease of Operation <br />• Ease of Maintenance <br />• Reliability of equipment <br />Based on a comparison of cost, the Quality Flow Systems bid was the lowest submitted. From <br />a standpoint of initial capital cost Quality Flow Systems provides the most financially appealing <br />package station. However, when evaluating on the other criteria General Repair ranks highest. <br />With respect to experience, Gorman Rupp has more of these types of package stations in <br />operation in the Twin Cities area and greater Minnesota than the other two suppliers.
