responsible for the current water quality standards. He went on to give a brief
explanation of the RWMWD.
➢ There was a question on the assessment figures. Mr. Elfering stated that the
assessment numbers are at the cap and can't go any higher and more than likely
would not go any lower.
➢ A resident inquired about the possibility of a sidewalk being installed along
Canabury as part of the project. Mr. Elfering and The City Administrator both
said that they would look into the possibility of putting in a sidewalk to connect
to the County Road B2 sidewalk. A discussion ensued regarding the sidewalks
and trails in the area and some of the history and possibilities. It was suggested
that the City put the sidewalk in on the east side of Canabury to avoid the trees on
the west side. Mr. Elfering stated that he thought it would work better and tie in
beter to the B2 sidewalk if it was on the west side. He went on to state that he
would examine all possibilities.
➢ There was a question on street trees and if the City would be adding any after the
project was finished. Mr. Elfering responded that the City does not add trees to
projects since the City prefers to keep them out of the right -of -way for safety
purposes.
➢ A comment was made that the City should put some reflectors on the new
MNDOT noise wall and /or a guardrail should be installed due to the possibility
of driver hitting the wall.
➢ At this point those in attendance were asked if they would support the project
presented. All of those present indicated their support. One resident present
stated that he was the president of the Condo association where he lived and
would pass the information on to the other residents of the complex.
