b. The Contractor shall maintain a written log of all complaints, the date <br />thereof and the action taken pursuant thereto or the reason for <br />non - action. All complaints shall be responded to within 24 hours of <br />their receipt. The log of complaints shall be made available for <br />inspection by the City Administrator or an authorized representative <br />upon request. <br />c. The Contractor shall keep complete and accurate records in accordance with <br />generally accepted accounting principals. <br />d. The Contractor shall provide notice to the City o f any change of ownership <br />of the Contractor, and the Contractor shall provide the City with an <br />affirmative undertaking regarding this Contract by the buyer of the <br />Company. <br />C. Performance Standards. <br />The Contractor shall supply all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the carrying <br />out of this Contract. <br />1. Equipment <br />a. Vehicle Protection. All trucks or motor vehicles used by the Contractor <br />shall be water -tight so as not to allow the leakage of liquids or refuse <br />while hauling the same and shall be covered to prevent the scattering of <br />its contents upon the public streets or private properties in the City. <br />Should any garbage be dropped or spilled in collection or transporting, it <br />shall be immediately cleaned up. A broom and shovel shall be canTied <br />on each vehicle at all times for this purpose. <br />b. Cleaning. All vehicles shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition. <br />c. Painting. The packer body shall be painted and numbered, and shall have <br />the Contractor's name and telephone number painted in letters of a <br />contrasting color, at least three inches (3 ") high, on each side of the <br />vehicle and the number painted or a decal placed on the rear. <br />d. Maintenance. The trucks shall be maintained in good working order. They <br />shall be equipped to meet all federal, state, and municipal regulations <br />concerning vehicles used on public roads and maintained to meet these <br />standards. <br />e.
