Each homeowner will be allowed to make a service selection size once per year. Additional selections during the year would require a $15 administrative fee payable to the resident's Contractor. All service sizes will include the disposal of one Christmas tree per year from every residential dwelling unit as long as the tree is not wrapped in a plastic bag and is free of ornaments and tinsel. Sr. Bag Service: The cost for this low volume service rate shall be $2.75 per bag. The service will be offered only to residents over the age of 65. The service will consist of a prepaid sticker purchased directly from the City and applied to the bag that is placed on the curbside for pick -up on collection day. If a sticker is not present during collection, no pick -up will be made. Single Sort Recycling Fee: Single sort recycling shall be picked up every-other week on the same day as refuse collection. The fee for the recycling service shall be billed as a separate item. The fee will be $4.00 per month per residence for a 60- gallon cart supplied by the contractor. 90 days after the delivery of the cart, the resident has the option to trade the 60 gallon cart for a larger 90 gallon cart or decrease the size to a 30 gallon cart. Customers being serviced by Gene's Disposal will remain with the 2 -sort system at a fee of $2.00 per month for recycling with pickup to occur weekly. Optional Yard Waste Collection Service (Not to be adjusted for the term of the contract): Residential dwelling units may choose one of three options listed below with the understanding they may make only one declaration per year. Should they choose the annual billing rate, they will be responsible for the entire year's cost if chosen prior to the start of the collection season or a pro -rata amount to be determined by the Contractor if chosen during the collection season; irrespective of the manner in which they are billed for this service. The only exception to this provision is for a customer who discontinues service as a result of moving from the residence in question. In this case, the annual feel will be adjusted on a pro -rata basis. The two options are as follows: • No Yard Waste Service • Annual billing for yard waste: $48 /year. (The collection year runs from April 1 through November 30) ♦ Bag rate: $1.50. Optional Townhome Rate. The City shall, at its sole discretion, have the option of implementing the "Optional Town Home Rate ". It is understood that Contractors shall prepare this rate for consideration by the City.
